The head of Amazon Poland revealed in a public speech that their generative AI shopping assistant RUFUS has served about 300 million users worldwide. Consumers interacting with RUFUS are roughly 60% more likely to complete a purchase. At the same time, Amazon launched the visual search tool AMAZON LENS in Poland, letting users find what they want just by using images. She mentioned that algorithms are taking over the role of shopping guides, but the importance of brands and transaction security hasn’t decreased.
